Longmont Small Animal Hospital receives accreditation

LONGMONT- The Longmont Small Animal Hospital at 20 Third Ave. received a renewal of it’s accreditation after an evaluation by the American Animal Hospital Association.

The evaluation assesses the quality of a hospital’s facilities, equipment, practice methods and pet health-care management.

Only about 15 percent of small-animal vet practices have received accreditation from the AAHA, according to Dr. Harvey Shaffer of the hospital.
