Longmont Small Animal Hospital - Longmont, CO -  Services

Wellness and Preventive Care: We recommend a thorough annual physical exam for healthy, adult patients.  These exams will often include all appropriate vaccinations and recommended screening tests.  For our senior patients, we recommend bi-annual exams with comprehensive diagnostic screening.  We can also get your new puppy or kitten started on the right path for lifelong wellness with an individualized vaccination and parasite screening protocol.

In-house Diagnostics: We have the ability to do complete laboratory testing including comprehensive blood work, urinalysis, fecal exams, and cytologic interpretations.  We are also equipped with digital radiography (x-ray), ultrasound, advanced ECG and blood pressure capabilities along with much more.

Pharmacy: Longmont Small Animal Hospital maintains a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, and parasite prevention medications.  We also offer a full line of prescription diets.

Surgical Services: Our experienced veterinarians provide surgical services ranging from routine to advanced.  Dr. Elliott and Dr. Wunder are equipped to handle most standard procedures in our state of the art surgical suite.  In order to ensure the best possible outcome for your pet, we will discuss referral to a boarded veterinary surgeon when indicated.

Dentistry: At Longmont Small Animal Hospital we strongly believe that oral health care is vital to maintaining the overall health of your pet.  We are equipped with the latest in dental digital radiography (x-ray) and we are creating a brand new dental surgical suite.  Periodontal therapy and oral surgeries are done under general anesthesia in order to complete a comprehensive oral health assessment and treatment.

Anesthesia: To ensure safety of your pet under general anesthesia, Longmont Small Animal Hospital maintains the highest standards of anesthetic preparation and monitoring.  An individualized anesthetic plan will be formulated for your pet prior to any procedure based on medical history, physical exam and pre-anesthetic laboratory testing.  For these reasons, a physical exam and consultation are required prior to scheduling any anesthetic procedure.  Our doctors are sensitive to clients' concerns about anesthesia and are always willing to discuss your specific concerns regarding your four legged family member.
